If you’ve gotten a new set of tires, typically the shop who installs your new ones will take the old ones for you. Yet somehow tires have a way of finding their way into our yards, fields, streams, and well, everywhere we don’t want them. Part of the reason behind this is simply because of the restrictions surrounding their disposal. Although not all states have banned tires from entering landfills, PA indeed has. The reasons range from the steel belts puncturing landfill liners, to the oils adding contaminations, to there just being a desire to reuse/recycle the rubber.
Regardless of what the true reason for the regulation is, the end result is difficulty in disposal. One thing is for certain, you certainly don’t want them in your yard, being an eye sore, and acting as a breeding ground for pesky mosquitos. Have no fear, Junk Be Gone can get rid of them. We’ll come collect your used tires and make sure they are disposed of at a proper tire recycling collection facility.
